Philadelphia Neighborhood Spotlight: Fishtown

With incredible cuisine, nightlife, unique warehouse spaces, and a lively music scene, there's always something new to check out in Fishtown. It's no longer in the shadow of Northern Liberties - it's taken the spotlight.

Come Now, and Come Hungry

Gone are the days where your food options in Fishtown were limited to cheesesteaks and restaurant chains; some of the best restaurants in the city can be found in Fishtown and next-door Kensington. For amazing Mexican, look no further than Loco Pez (don't miss their margaritas). Hankering for a gastropub? Check out the food and impressive draft list at Kraftwork. Looking to treat yourself? There's a number of fine dining options, including ModoMio - go on Sundays for a deal. Lastly, if you need a pick-me-up as you adventure through Fishtown, the flagship La Colombe is in the middle of it all on Frankford.

Bring Your Dancing Shoes

Fishtown has arguably grown on the back of its nightlife scene. From warehouse parties to staples like The Barbary, there's always a good time. Notable music venues include the legendary Johnny Bredna's and the hot newcomer, The FIllmore

Bring on the Culture

If you're looking for Fishtown's more sophisticated side, Frankford Avenue Arts is the go-to resource for exhibits, events, and all things art in Fishtown. First Fridays are a must-attend. There are a number of art galleries - The Art Dept is a star - as well as boutiques along Frankford and Girard Avenue.

Lyft Driver Requirements: 7 Things to Know

If you're at least 21 and own a smartphone, you can get paid to drive with Lyft.

From how old your car is to when you can get behind the wheel, the Lyft driver requirements are straightforward. What does it mean to drive with Lyft, and how do you apply? Here are answers.

How Much Can I Make?

Depending on where you'll drive and what type of vehicle you'll use, you can earn up to $35 an hour driving with Lyft. Lyft takes a 25 percent commission, but you get 100 percent of the tips. Plus, you can make more money with rewards programs like the Power Driver Bonus.

When Do I Drive?

Drive whenever you want! Just open the app and indicate you're ready for passengers. Take a break when you need to, whether it's just a few hours off or you're headed out of town for the week.

When (and How) Do I Get Paid?

Each week, get paid with a direct deposit to your checking account. Or, get your money faster with Express Pay, which puts your pay on a debit card after your ride earnings reach at least $50.

What Kind of Vehicle Do I Need?

Your car must be a 2004 or newer (unless listed otherwise), have four doors, five seat belts, no body damage, fully functional parts - oh, and good tires.

Other vehicle requirements include:

  • Must be fully functional and safe: A/C, heat, wipers, horn, windows, all lights, seat belts, engine, suspension, steering, brakes, seat controls, and doors (including its locks).
  • Must be free of cracks: windshields, windows, and mirrors.
  • Must meet city/state requirements.
  • Exhaust system must be within state standards, lacking modification and excessive wear.

What if I Don't Have a Car, Can I Still Drive?

Yes, depending on where you live. Lyft and General Motors offer Express Drive, which lets you rent a car in certain cities for as little as $0 - insurance and standard maintenance included - as long as you give a certain number of rides each week. See if Express Drive is available in your area.

How Do I Give a Ride, Anyway?

You accept rides through the Lyft app. Once you accept a ride request, the app will help you navigate to pick up your passenger. Verify their name and destination - then you're ready to roll with the help of directions from Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps. When you arrive at your passenger's destination, there are two taps to officially end the ride. After that, you rate your passenger and then await your next ride request.

And, there's no counting money - passengers pay and tip through the app.

I Meet Lyft Driver Requirements, Where Do I Apply?

Complete the driver application here! You'll need to enter some basic info about yourself, then follow the steps to verify that you meet all the Lyft driver requirements.

Next, you'll clean your car - like, really clean your car. Then, schedule a time and place to meet with a mentor, an experienced Lyft driver who can answer your questions. They'll conduct a 19-point vehicle inspection and even go on a practice ride with you.

Background checks are up next (which may take several weeks). Lyft will email you once you're approved.

Ready to drive with Lyft? Get your application rolling.

Lyft DC Volunteers at Martha's Table

Friday, September 16, was Lyft Community Day in all office locations nationwide. We all took some time out to volunteer together and celebrate our growing Lyft community.

Lyft has always been more than just a ride - we want to be a force for good. Lyft DC team members spent the day at Martha's Table. For over three decades, Martha's Table has been creating a safe place for children to eat and read after school. Additionally, Martha's Table provides emergency needs with food and clothing programs, and work to ensure a bright future for children and families through education and family support services.

Overall, Martha's Table has four programs that supports families in DC: Healthy Start, Healthy Eating, Healthy Connections, and Emergency Support Services. Our team volunteered in the Emergency Support Services program. Within the Emergency Support Services program are Martha's Outfitters and Martha's Outlet, clothing programs that provide free, high-quality clothing, shoes, linens, and household furnishings to individuals and families in need. Bringing our community and people together are incredibly important to us. We're glad we were able to take part and look forward to more opportunities!

Follow us on Twitter at @Lyft_DC for the latest updates and discounts exclusive to the DC area. Enjoy the weekend, and we'll see you this fall!

National Voter Registration Day – Make Your Voice Heard

September 27, 2016 is National Voter Registration Day, a cause that's close to our hearts here at Lyft. We believe that communities are stronger when everyone has a voice, which is why we've decided to partner with TurboVote.

TurboVote is a tool that simplifies the voter registration process in all 50 states, and we're encouraging our drivers and passengers nationwide to use TurboVote and make a difference in the communities where they live and work by voting.

Along with numerous other companies and organizations, such as Airbnb, Starbucks, and Spotify, we're making a long term commitment to increase voter registration and participation nationwide as part of the TurboVote Challenge.

We've seen firsthand the difference this can make. Time and time again, the voices of drivers and passengers has been critical in securing the future of ridesharing in their cities and states.

We hope you'll take this opportunity to register to vote, or update your voter registration, ahead of the upcoming election and make your voice heard on November 8th.

Ride to Work - and Back Home - with Lyft

Don't let getting to work ruin your day. Instead of driving to the office and back home, let Lyft take you there safely and comfortably. Here are four reasons to commute with Lyft.

SIGN UP AND GET A FREE RIDE

No Parking Troubles

Lyft can help you avoid the far-flung parking garage and the expensive reserved spot, whether you drive to the office or a transit station. Commute confidently with Lyft knowing that you'll arrive at work or catch your train on time, without looking like you just ran a 5K from your car. Not only will you skip the stress of finding a parking garage and get dropped off at the door, but you may save a few bucks in parking fees, too.

Lyft Is There When You Need It

The bus leaves every 20 minutes, and the train stops every 10. Or is it the other way around? Instead of riding on their schedule, commute with Lyft on your schedule. When you're ready to go, just open the app, request a ride, and you'll be on your way in minutes.

Options to Ride

Commute alone or with others using Lyft. Lyft Plus offers a bigger ride - enough for you and five co-workers. Save some cash in certain cities and use Lyft Line, where your driver picks up fellow passengers along the way. Or, in cities such as Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, the Bay Area, and Washington D.C., use Lyft Premier for a more stylish ride in a high-end sedan or SUV. Whatever option you choose, no cash is needed. Just pay for your ride in the Lyft app.

Get Things Done From the Backseat

Driving in rush hour traffic with a grande coffee by your side can be tricky. But if you ride to work with Lyft, you can have your cup o' joe - and drink it, too. You can even get a little you time back after work if you get things done during your commute with Lyft.

Skip the hassle of driving during your commute. Ride to work and home again with Lyft.

SF Celebrates Park(ing) Day

What if our cities had fewer parking lots, and more parks? Last Friday, we took to the streets to find out - by celebrating Park(ing) Day!

Every third Friday in September, people and businesses around the world take part in Park(ing) Day by turning metered parking spots into temporary public spaces. Groups use the their reclaimed space for activities such as meditation, picnics, art, and more.

We reserved parking spaces in the Mission to enjoy with local residents, setting up games, laying out lawn chairs, and spreading the Lyft love with those who stopped by. Check it out!

It doesn't take much to make people smile. A ball pit can do the trick nicely, for example.

A New Ride for THE RIDE Customers

Today, we are proud to start bringing on-demand transportation to customers of THE RIDE, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's (MBTA) paratransit service.

Each year THE RIDE provides approximately 1.8 million trips to registered customers. In the past, these trips were required to be booked a day in advance. But with this Lyft partnership, passengers can sign up to enjoy the convenience and flexibility of ridesharing, and request a ride in real-time.

Our partnership with the MBTA reflects an exciting next step in enhancing and expanding THE RIDE's service by reducing passenger wait times and increasing access to jobs, education, errands, and social activities.

Regardless of mobility needs, all customers of THE RIDE can enjoy the same level of access and quality of life. We plan to fully equip our driver platform with wheelchair accessible vehicles, making it easier than ever to request a vehicle with a ramp. At the same time, we're also excited to leverage Concierge, our telephone-based reservation system, as an alternative pathway for people who don't have a smartphone to request a Lyft ride.

“We're excited to partner with Lyft to provide this innovative service to our customers.  We're eager to see how their unique solutions like Concierge and others help both the MBTA and its customers. We look forward to a great partnership,” said MBTA General Manager Brian Shortsleeve.

Lyft's Express Pay Delivers More Than $500 Million to Drivers

At Lyft, we're committed to working harder for our community of drivers and passengers. One of the ways we do so is by offering drivers flexible access to the money they earn with Lyft  - some drivers tell us they want to cash out weekly; others want to cash out daily.

Knowing this, we launched Express Pay nearly a year ago. Within six months of offering the first-of-its-kind feature, we saw 40 percent of driver payouts via Express Pay. Today, that percentage is 50 percent - half of all driver earnings are paid out instantly.

Today we're announcing another exciting milestone: To date, drivers have cashed out more than $500 million through Express Pay. That's more than half a billion dollars!

Drivers are using their instant payouts for all types of purchases, from groceries to vacations. Miss J, a driver from Orlando, told us, “My friends and I were planning a vacation and I needed to pay for my portion of the trip by Monday. I told them - well, let me work this weekend and see what I can do. I drove over the weekend and come Sunday, I pressed that 'Get Paid' button and I made the money I needed to escape to the Bahamas with my friends.”

The success of Express Pay is a result of our partnership with our friends at Stripe. Our drivers rely on Stripe to get paid  - whether instantly or weekly - and we continue to work closely together to create a seamless, positive experience.

We know happy drivers make for happy passengers, and happy passengers make for happy drivers. While Express Pay is one feature that keeps the smiles rolling for drivers, we're devoted to working harder for our community through a number of other ways, like in-app tipping, weekly Power Driver Bonuses, and Express Drive.

*Depends on the drivers' banking institution; most drivers receive instant deposits, some banks' deposit timing will vary; transaction fees apply.

Want to Drive With Lyft? Rent a Ride With Express Drive

While driving with Lyft, Carlos Correa decided he needed a new car. He researched buying or leasing one, but for a variety of reasons, neither option made sense.

“When I sat down with my wife and looked at the cost of a down payment, monthly maintenance, insurance, and depreciation, I just wondered if it was worth it to get into the debt,” Carlos says.

Then he heard about Express Drive, a new program that lets Lyft drivers rent a ride in certain cities for as little as $0 - insurance and standard maintenance included - as long as they give a certain number of rides each week. Not having a long-term car payment appealed to Carlos.

“Express Drive seemed like a great deal,” says Carlos, who has driven with Lyft for more than three years in Chicago. “I'm not locked into a long-term lease. If I want to take a break for a few weeks, I can return the car and get it again later.”

Carlos is far from alone. Express Drive started in Chicago, where 60,000 people applied to drive with Lyft but didn't have a qualifying car. Now, 30 percent of new applicants in Chicago want to be a part of Express Drive.

The exclusive program was so successful that it has expanded to Boston, Washington D.C., Baltimore, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Denver. Learn more in this Express Drive FAQ.

Deon Ashford is an Express Drive participant who joined to keep miles off his everyday car. With about 92,000 miles on that car, he's just short of seeing his 100,000-mile warranty end. With the help of Express Drive, he now takes passengers across Chicago in a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu, eliminating any extra wear and tear on his own car.

“I think it's an amazing program,” says Deon, who works full-time as a fleet service manager for an airline when he's not driving with Lyft. “I definitely drive more with Lyft now that I have the rental. The fact that they cover maintenance and oil changes - that's fantastic.”

Start your Express Drive application here. Or, if you're already an approved driver, visit the Vehicles & Documents tab in your Dashboard. Once approved, you just pick up your Lyft rental and hit the road. Not only can you rent a car from Lyft and General Motors, but you can also give it back when you need to - just open the app and schedule the return.

“It's great because it's a newer vehicle,” says Carlos, who drives a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. “My tips are higher than average, and I think one reason is the vehicle - passengers feel good about being in a nice car.”

Carlos balances driving with Lyft, being a father, having an internship, and studying as an MBA student. Even with all that going on, he still drives enough most weeks to cover the weekly Express Drive rental cost.

“It's a hodgepodge of when I drive, but that's what's so great about driving with Lyft,” he says. “It's flexible. I can drive when it suits me, with a car that's really roomy and new.”

Rent a ride with Lyft and Express Drive. See how much you can earn and start driving.

Lyft x Budweiser: Meet Your New Designated Driver

We're teaming up with Budweiser to combat drunk driving. From this week through the end of 2016, passengers 21+ can get a free ride (up to $10) on weekends and holidays in select markets*. Because everybody deserves a designated driver, even if you're on a tight budget.

Part of Budweiser's #GiveADamn campaign, the partnership is the first time one of the world's biggest beer brands has joined forces with ridesharing to reduce drunk driving. We're both committed to leading the charge, and to helping make streets safer for every pedestrian, cyclist, and passenger.

“At Lyft, we strive to partner with like-minded, mission-driven brands like Budweiser that are committed to building safer communities and a better world,” says Oliver Hsiang, VP Partnerships at Lyft. “By giving passengers access to free rides each week, we hope everyone will think twice before getting behind the wheel after drinking and look to Lyft as a solution.”

*Coupon codes valid for passengers in markets where Lyft operates in New York, Illinois, Florida, and Colorado, redeemable from 10pm-2am local time on weekend nights.

Introducing Lyft on iOS 10

Exciting news: iOS 10 makes it easier than ever for you to request a Lyft ride (Tim Cook showed us all how during his keynote earlier this week). Now you can get a ride by asking Siri, using your Apple Watch, or even while you're looking up directions in Maps. And that's just the beginning. When you get updates about your Lyft ride, you'll see a photo of your driver and vehicle details with new rich push notifications.

Here's more info on how iOS 10 gives you the ability to enjoy the Lyft experience without opening the app:

  • Get more information about your driver and price estimates - even request a ride through Siri. Going to the airport is as easy as saying “Siri, book me a Lyft to the airport.”
  • Give your phone a rest with Apple Watch. Just tap to do everything from requesting a ride to tipping your driver. Pro-tip: Enable the Lyft complications on your watch face for quick access.
  • Find Lyft ride info the next time you look up a destination using Apple Maps. You can check estimates on fares, times, and request a ride all in one place.

We're committed to give you faster and easier access to better transportation. Our integration with iOS 10 makes this possible. Try it and let us know what you think!

Lyft Las Vegas Turns One

This month is Lyft's one-year anniversary in Las Vegas, and we're saying thank you to drivers and the local community. This Thursday evening at Brooklyn Bowl, we'll be ringing in our first birthday with everyone from drivers to passengers, ambassadors to city partners, and many more.

In year one our city team has:

  • Provided millions of safe rides

  • Enabled thousands of drivers to earn extra income

  • Helped reduce the occurrence of DUIs

  • Built a community of drivers that is nearly ⅓ female

  • Partnered with numerous community groups to help hundreds of people get to kidney dialysis, support the local arts, raise money for charities and more

“Since launching a year ago, Lyft's presence in Vegas has grown tremendously,” says Lyft Las Vegas General Manager, Yacob Girma. “In the last six months alone, we've more than tripled rides, grown our driver base by 2.8 times, and our passenger base by 2.5 times. As we look back at the major milestones accomplished over the last year, we'd like to thank our community of drivers for providing safe, reliable rides to the many tourists and locals that travel through Vegas every day. Looking ahead as we celebrate our official one year anniversary, we're excited to continue this rapid growth and momentum into the future.”

To mark our one year anniversary, we polled our driver community with a simple question, “Why do you Lyft?" Here are some of their stories:

“I Lyft because I'm part of a movement, a movement that says we're in this together for the greater good! I started driving to make ends meet, now I find myself driving more to make friends out of strangers and to help make people's Vegas experience more enjoyable, one ride at a time.”
- David, Lyft driver

“My son was diagnosed with cancer a year-and-a-half ago at 16 years old. As a mother of 5 I'm able to [drive] about 25 hours a week, to pull myself out of the hole little by little.”
- Edie, Lyft driver

“As the father of eight kids, Lyft gives me the opportunity to earn extra money when I have free time.”
- Bradford, Lyft driver

“It supports our vacation budget. Because of Lyft we went to Europe for a month.”
- Krzysztof, Lyft driver

“I grew up in Vegas and was a baker when I started driving with Lyft. Because of my passion, Lyft offered me a full-time job. Now, I'm a Senior Manager. I love being part of the drivers' journey and watching our community grow into a unique and exhilarating market.”
- Josh, Lyft Las Vegas' first employee

To celebrate, we're offering up to $50 in free ride credit to try Lyft for the first time. New passengers redeem here:

The Story Begins: Lyft First-Ride Adventures

Before you get in the car for your first Lyft ride, you'll want to know what to expect. So, we asked passengers about their first trips with Lyft. Here's what they said:

My Lyft Ride Cured My Midnight Munchies

We left a bar in Manhattan to go to one across town. Then, we realized no one had subway cards - there were six of us - and a taxi at this time of night wasn't an option.

A miracle happened once we remembered Lyft Plus.

I downloaded the app and easily requested a ride. I soon got a call from the driver, introducing himself and letting me know he was only a couple of minutes away.

When he arrived, guess what was in the backseat? Doughnuts! He let us know that he loves to make his passengers comfortable, and he was so nice that he didn't even care when we pretty much ate them all.

To make it even better, he had a full pack of water just for bar-hoppers like us. If that's not a 5-star ride, I don't know what is.

- Allison Ganes

When Lyft Was My Phone's Emergency Contact

I was traveling with a coworker in New York City. We finally got outside the airport, and taxis were abundant - but so were the people getting in them. I noticed a Lyft sticker on one car and thought we'd try it out since the line for a taxi seemed never-ending.

I downloaded the app, entered my corporate card, and requested a ride that showed up in like three minutes. We got in, rode to our destination, got out, and kept walking - until I realized I didn't have my phone.

Panic ensued.

I anxiously rummaged through my bags only to find out that I was, in fact, one phone short. My coworker downloaded the app, I logged into my Lyft account, and together we located a “find lost item” link.

I quickly pressed it, answered a couple of questions, and submitted my request. We soon got a call from the driver saying he found my phone and was heading back. A few minutes later there he was: window down, smiling, and holding out my phone for me to grab. After I excessively thanked him for saving the day, I was pleased that I could tip the driver in the app for bringing my neglected phone back to me.

- Laura Ayala

Let Lyft Show You Around Town

I tend to stick to what I know and am hesitant to try something new. But I recently talked with someone who recommended Lyft, and when I saw that it was available while on vacation in Savannah, Georgia, I gave it a try.

Requesting the ride was super simple. The driver's face and car were listed in the app - no mistaking a random person for your driver here! The ride was more of an experience than I expected. Our driver was a local who knew his way around, and he asked us what our plans were for the weekend. We didn't know where to start, so our driver recommended different bars with different atmospheres depending on how we were feeling - one had a really cool rooftop bar with an incredible view of the city. He definitely wanted to make sure we had a good time.

We used Lyft again and again. Our Lyft drivers made us feel super welcome in their city. They were knowledgeable about Savannah's history and what restaurants and bars had just opened up, and it really felt like they wanted us to have a great visit. I wished that we could've stayed longer to follow more of their awesome suggestions. Maybe next time, and definitely with Lyft!

- Ashley Durbin

Riding in Someone Else's Shoes

My first Lyft ride was from a food festival in the Financial District to my apartment in Queens. I was hanging out, eating pizza by the East River and complaining to a friend about taking the subway home. He told me that if I hadn't used Lyft and I signed up, I would get free ride credit, especially if he referred me. And if he referred me, he would get a free ride! So, I decided to do it. My driver showed up quickly in a car with bumblebee seat covers, and I was home within 20 minutes.

Since then I have taken many, many rides with Lyft. On a recent ride, my driver told me about moving to NYC from Honduras when he was 13, and all of the interesting jobs he had since finishing college. His goal is to start an education nonprofit to benefit kids, and he's using his time as a Lyft driver to think through the logistics.

Since that first ride, one of the most interesting parts of using Lyft is the chance to get a glimpse into someone else's life. Whether the drivers are working out the details of a nonprofit or using the family car to make some extra money, there's usually an interesting story to be heard.

- Cathie Burns

Gracias, Lyft!

It was Fourth of July weekend in West Palm Beach, and Lyft was offering ride credit for new passengers. My brother-in-law was in town, so my husband and I decided to save some cash and try it out.

The first driver who picked us up also spoke Spanish - and, my husband is fluent. They talked for a while, and we all somehow ended up trying to teach one another words in English and Spanish. Even though it was just a 10-minute ride, it was so much fun speaking in Spanglish.

On the way home that night, our Lyft driver motioned to us that he was deaf. I was happy to find out that the Lyft driver community is so inclusive and welcoming.

From my middle-school American Sign Language classes, I could only remember “airplane” and “thank you.” Clearly, “airplane” had absolutely no use in this context, but “thank you” certainly did. Our driver appreciated that we tried to communicate with him when I thanked him for getting us home safely.

Berkeley, Meet Your Game Day Ride

Gear up, U.C. Berkeley. School's in session! And while you may be struggling to wake up for those 8AM lectures, the start of school also means one exciting thing: football season is back. As this year's official rideshare partner for Cal football, we're ready to help you enjoy your game day experience safely and responsibly.

There's nothing worse than trying to find parking during a sporting event (inevitably cutting into pregame festivities), except maybe fighting with the rowdy crowd on your way out. With a simple Lyft ride request, you can skip the before and after hassles, grab a drink, and enjoy the game.

Passenger Tip: Keep an eye out for signs directing you to the dedicated "Lyft Lane" outside of California Memorial Stadium.

Fun fact: Berkeley's mascot, Oski the Bear, made his debut on September 27th, 1941 during the season opener. Also a fun fact: Lyft will make their debut at the Cal Pre-game Fan Fest on September 17, 2016. Stop by our bright pink tent three hours before kick-off and take a chance on our prize wheel for awesome Lyft swag. We'll see you there!

5 Things to Do in DC this Labor Day Weekend

It's Labor Day weekend and you weren't able to make it to the beach. Don't worry, there's plenty to do in and around DC this holiday weekend. We've put together five things to do in DC just in case you've procrastinated:

Head to the Ballpark
Monday, September 5, the Washington Nationals go to battle with the Atlanta Braves at 4:00 PM. The Nats are still running strong in first place in the NL East, with the Braves sitting in fifth. Grab Washington National Tickets today.

Hit the Georgetown Waterfront
Take in the sights, sounds, and smells of Georgetown this holiday weekend. One thing that is a must-visit is the Key Bridge Boathouse. At the Boathouse, you can rent kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. In addition to touring the monuments, try paddle yoga on a standup paddleboard.

Segway Tours
If the water isn't for you, then give a Segway a try! City Segway Tours is one of the most exciting ways to travel around the city. It's inexpensive, fun, and totally unique.

Drink and Eat on a Rooftop
Enjoy the DC Summer heat before it's fall and pumpkin spice lattes are flooding your newsfeed. There's a plethora of rooftop bars, pools, and restaurants to take in, but we've already done the hard work and selected five of our favorites: Marvin, Donovan, Brixton, Embassy Row Hotel, and Jack Rose.

Enjoy the Labor Day Weekend Music Festival
The festival is presented by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. It takes place Friday through Sunday at the Historic Lincoln Theatre. More than 10 artists will be present. And did we mention it's completely free? RSVP here.

Follow us on Twitter at @Lyft_DC for the latest updates and discounts exclusive to the DC area. Enjoy the holiday weekend, and we'll see you in fall!

The 5 Lyft Rides You'll Take in College

Whether you can't wait to get back to school or you're holding on tight to the last days of summer, we're here to make it all a little easier. Here are the five types of Lyft rides you'll most definitely take on campus this year.

1. The Walmart ride. College can be stressful. Trying to ride the bus with an armful of plastic storage drawers will make it exponentially more so. Trust us.

2. The rainy day ride. Snow. Heat waves. Rain. You can't predict the weather, but you can warm up, cool down, or stay dry in a Lyft ride. Nobody likes a soggy lab partner.

3. The snooze button ride. Unfortunately, 8:00 AM lectures are a thing. Thankfully, last-minute, door-to-door Lyft rides are too. Enjoy the extra few minutes of z's and still make it to class on time.

4. The after-party ride. Coming home from a night out? Be safe and let us do the driving. Not to mention sometimes heels - or that fabulous bedsheet toga you threw together in fifteen minutes - are just not made for walking.

5. The munchies ride. It's midnight and you're finally leaving the library. Your stomach growls. Two words: drive. Thru.

Wishing you a happy back-to-school season!
